Gonzaga Scholarship Programme

For it is in giving that we receive

     It was a memorable day in the annuals of the Franciscan Sisters of Aloysius Gonzaga. The memories of the day would last forever because it was the purpose of love and chasity. The day was to mean help the students with the distribution of the needy and poor children.

On the special occasion of the feast day of St. Francis  5 boys and 87 girls were gathered along with the parents in Christ the king hall in the Generalate, Rev. Mother Rajamani presided over the function and Rev. Sr. Ranjitham and the team Members of Council was present. The Former General Rev. Mother Rev. Mother Mary Stella and other sisters too were there to add flavors to the meaning to the occasion.

The program commenced with the invocation and chief guest and others all lighted candle, a symbol of light in the encircling gloom. The Former General Rev. Mother .Mary Stella addressed the gathering and insisted that we should be always charitable towards the needy and the poor and Rev. Mother. Rajamani greeted the gathering and inspired the students by life moment of St. Mother Theresa and

                             “Ezhumai Ezhupirappum Ulluvar Thangan
                               Vizhuman Thutaiththavar Natpu”   

Their words got effect in the hearts of listeners to have ripple effects in the future. Sr. Ranjitham advised the student to acquire the qualities of leadership so that they might become future leaders in the society to bring change in the order and equality among the people. The students all shared their family background and study climate. They promised to be studious and responsible in their career. The students and parents were served sumptuous lunch. During the lunch the sisters interacted with the students and encouraged them to study well. Rev. Mother. Rajamani, the president distributed the Scholarships. At 4p.m the invites were served delicious tea. Altogether 90 students got benefit from the scholarship programme offered by the congregation. The sister proposed vote of thanks and program ended with great joy and inner satisfaction.

We thank God for such a great occasion which brought miles of smiles on the faces of the poor children and gratefully acknowledge our sisters for assigning this beautiful function.
